Franklin Parsons 99 of Louisa, KY formerly of Fort Gay, WV went home to be with the Lord on Sunday Nov. 12, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. Franklin was born Sept. 24, 1918 in Wayne County, WV, the son of the late Samuel and Nary Webb Parsons. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Rinda Marie Thompson Parsons who died in 1997, a son Frank Ronald Parsons and two daughters Beverly Jean Parsons and Phyllis Ann Parsons. Franklin was a retired shear operator for the Otis Elevator Company in Cleveland, Ohio and proudly served his country during WWII in the United States Army Air Force. Mr. Parsons was the Senior Pastor of the Cornerstone House of Prayer at Mill Creek in Fort Gay, WV. Survivors include four daughters Linda C. Kirk of Fort Gay, Brenda K. Robertson and husband Bernard of Genoa, WV, Patricia Ann Carpenter and husband John also of Fort Gay, and Sandy Fay Thompson and husband John C. also of Genoa; three sons John R. Parsons of Louisa, Roger Lee Parsons and wife Lucille of Genoa, WV, and Thomas E. Parsons and wife Ruth also of Louisa; a brother Arthur Parsons and a sister Blanche Stiltner both of Kenova, WV; 26 grandchildren, 53 great grandchildren, and several great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday Nov. 15th at 1:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Bernard L. Robertson officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in the Parsons Family Cemetery on the Left Fork of Mill Creek Fort Gay, WV. Friends may visit the family on Tuesday Nov. 14th from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home. Care has been entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home.
