Arnold Carter 70 of Louisa, KY went home to be with the Lord on Friday Jan. 5, 2017. Arnold was born Aug. 29, 1947 in Louisa, the son of the late Mart and Paulina Young Carter. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a sister Mary Hughes. Arnold was retired Captain with the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources. He loved his family and enjoyed the outdoors. He was an avid car restorer and collector. He was also a member of the Christian Fellowship Church in Catlettsburg, KY. Survivors include his loving wife Ruby Cartmel Carter; two daughters Renee (Dan) Huff of Grayson, KY and Jessica (Jeremy) Menshouse of Louisa; a son Christopher (Brittney) Carter also of Louisa; four grandchildren Ashley Miller, Shelby Artis, Lily Menshouse, and Sophia Menshouse; three great grandchildren; five sisters Margaret Bond, Cynthia Holbrook, Ruby Arrington, Linda Wilson, and Claudia Walker, four brothers J.B. Carter, Phillip Carter, Donald Joe Carter, and Leslie Carter; and a host of friends. Funeral services will be held on Monday Jan. 8th at 2:00 pm at the Louisa Free Will Baptist Church with Bro. Sam Corns officiating. Burial will follow in the Yatesville Memorial Gardens Louisa, KY. Friends may visit the family on Monday from 11:00am until time of services at the Louisa Free Will Baptist Church. Care has been entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home.
