I was a neighbor to Jay, Alma, and the family for many years. They were all good neighbors and citizens in the Martin/Lawrence County community.
Jay was a man who loved the Lord and his family. My brother and I were blessed to visit with him shortly before Christmas and saw that he was frail in body but very willing to speak of his faith in the Lord.
May God's hand continue to strengthen his daughters, son, and other family members as they mourn his passing. 1 Thessalonians 4:13, "But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope." Jay's anchor was in the Lord.
