Arvil Johnson, 66, of Fort Gay, WV passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2018. Mr. Johnson was born August 27, 1951 in Kermit, West Virginia to the late Robert and Ethel Parsley Johnson. In addition to his parents, Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by one son, Arvil Johnson, Jr.; one sister, Pauline Ferguson; and three brothers, Bryant, Archie, and Roger Dale Johnson.  

He is survived by his loving wife of forty eight years, Charlotte Jean Brewer Johnson; four sons Joshua Allen Johnson, Haskel Lee Johnson and wife Michelle, Steven Lee Johnson, Christopher Adam Johnson; one daughter, Tina Marie Johnson and husband Elvis; one brother, Danny Ray Johnson; five sisters, Loucresia Johnson Waller, Juanita Mathis, Ledonna Messer, Rebecca Johnson,Grethel Marcum Hooper.  He also leaves behind thirteen grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and a special family member that he considered a brother, Haskell Horn.                                      

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at Gospel Church of God in Jesus Christ on Marrowbone Creek in Kermit, WV with Rev. Paul Darrin Messer officiating. There will a visitation at the church one hour prior to the funeral.   Burial will follow in the Fitzpatrick Cemetery on Marrowbone Creek Road.
