Catherine Ronelda Clay, 77, of Louisa, KY entered the gates of Heaven on Wednesday, May 16, 2018. Mrs. Clay was born July 18, 1940 in Lesley, West Virginia to the late Clifford and  Daisy Branham Carroll. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elwyn Lee Clay, Jr., two brothers, Clifford Carroll, Jr. and Benny Carroll, and one sister, Shirley Leichliter.  

She is survived by three sons, Gary(Janet) Clay, Bobby Clay, and Steve Clay; one  daughter, Sherry (Lee) Preston; six grandchildren, Amy (Adam) Newsome, Tim (Sarah) Cordle, Paige Preston, Brody (Beth)Preston, Catherine Clay, and Bobbie Sue; four great-grandchildren, Conner Preston, Aiden Newsome, Aubrey Preston, and Edison Cordle.  She also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews who were dear to her heart. 

She was a member of Cherryville Missionary Baptist Church.  She enjoyed cooking for her family and friends, watching her grandkids and great-grandkids grow up and play, reading and re-reading a good book, listening to Willie Nelson, and going to church.  

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Sunday, May 20, 2018 at Wilson Funeral Home with Dr. Charles Price officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may visit the family on Saturday, May 19 from 6-9 PM at Wilson Funeral Home. All care has been entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home.»(Do not delete this line.
