When I was in the first grade at Fallsburg Elementary School, Miss. Charolette was a teacher’s aid and I always loved her.
God bless the family and loved ones of this beautiful angel!
I haven’t seen you in 20 years, Miss. Charlotte, but you’ll always be in my heart!
Love,
Ondie Fortner

I saw Charlotte at grandparents night and talked with her. She wanted me to come over and visit with her and I told her I would. I had planned to go over. I regret not going sooner. God has a plan for all of us. I will miss her. She was always so nice to me. Condolences, love and prayers to all of the family!!! ♡♡♡♡

Charlotte worked beside me in our classroom at Louisa Middle School and she loved our students as did the students love her. In the evenings she continued to work with students. She still always had time for her own son and daughter and I always admired Charlotte for going by to visit her mom to be sure that she ate breakfast and dinner most every day. We will all miss Charlottes kind heart and loving spirit.

Charlotte will be missed terribly by all. I have always considered her like a mother, especially growing up with Sarah and spending so much of my childhood in her home. Spending so much time with the family has provided and blessed me with many memories. I will continue to share these memories, keeping her spirit alive. A few of my favorite include; driving around in her red Camaro, going to gymnastics, and eating spaghetti with pickles. She would always make sure we were fed, cared for, and outside playing like kids are intended to do. We were to only come in for food and typically ate that outside, weather permitting. To this day, I appreciate her for those experiences. She would always make me a grilled cheese because I would not eat bologna.
My favorite story is when they lived in MawMaw's house and Sarah and I were upstairs playing and sweating terribly. Anyone who knows me, knows I hate to break a sweat. She begged us to go outside but it was too hot for us, we claimed? However, I am pretty sure we were putting on makeup and knew we weren't supposed to be. It was probably sweating off our faces. hahaha
As we played upstairs she (even though she was not happy with our choice) brought us a fan so we could at least have circulation of air. I remember being so excited about this fan. Even though she knew we were not doing what we were supposed to be doing, she still cared for us, loved us, and created an environment where we were safe. Much love and peace to the family. I will always hold Charlotte in my heart.
