Obituary of Roger Dale Brewer

Roger Dale Brewer 67 of Prichard, WV went to his Heavenly Home on November 13, 2018. Roger was born to the late Lillian “Sis” Spaulding Brewer and William “Bill” Brewer on Nov. 23, 1950. Roger was preceded in death by his mother-in-law Estelle Thompson Baisden, father-in-law George Burgess Baisden and brother Hershel Brewer.

Survivors include his loving wife of 46 years Sally Baisden Brewer; daughters Lori (Clifton) Ratcliff and Melissa (Adam) Adkins; and his grandchildren who were the light of his world Evan, Jared and Logan Ratcliff and Alissa, TJ, and Kaden Adkins; and a special hunting buddy and nephew Taylor Brewer.

Survivors also include siblings Lula Belle Justice, Darrell (Etta) Brewer, Joe Brewer, Ava (Carl) Hardwick, Charles (Fontella) Brewer.

Roger was a life-long coon hunter, a hard-working gardener, an AEP retiree who would drop everything to help family or a friend in need. He was a longtime member and trustee of the Big Hurricane Missionary Baptist Church. Roger leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, AEP buddies, friends and an entire church family who will all miss him daily.

2 Corinthians 5:8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday Nov. 18^th at 1:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Tony Perry and Rev. Randy Ratcliffe officiating. Burial will follow in the Endicott Cemetery at Fort Gay, WV. Friends may visit the family on Saturday from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the Saint Jude Children Hospital in memory of McKenzie Sha Brewer.
