Obituary of Douglas Ray Cottle

Douglas Ray Cottle, 71, of Blaine, KY passed away Sunday, December 2, 2018 at his home. Mr. Cottle was born July 10, 1947 in Flat Gap,KY to the late James Crawford and Roberta Sloan Cottle. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, James Cottle and a brother, Jim Cottle. 

He is survived by his wife, Virginia Cottle; one son, Douglas Cottle; four daughters, Debbie Cottle, Jennifer Cottle, Shelley Boggs, and Brianna Cottle; one brother, David Cottle; one sister, Virginia Baldwin; and three grandsons.

He was a farmer and an U.S. Army veteran having served in Vietnam. 

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at Cains Creek Freewill Baptist Church in Blaine, KY with Rev. Rodney King officiating. Burial will follow in the Skaggs Cemetery. Friends may visit the family on Tuesday, December 4 after 4:00 PM at the Cains Creek Freewill Baptist Church.
