Elta Jean Bryant Cordial 72, of Ulysses KY, went home to be with the Lord on February 5, 2019 at Three Rivers Medical Center.

As well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Also, a special friend Kathleen Thompson and two Sister Cousins Donna Dancy and Becky Jo Brecht who were there to help look after Elta Jean.

Elta Jean was a homemaker where she loved taking care of her family and then later on in years, she helped take care of her mom and dad. She was the mother hen of the family always keeping up with the family making sure everyone was happy and all was well.

She was a member of the Walnut Grove Church joining on February 5, 1961 making it 58 years to the day God called her home February 5, 2019. She was an active member serving as a Sunday School Teacher, Janitor, and Ladies Aid for many years, and produced and directed and sometimes wrote Christmas Plays for many years.

For the past 40 years she was a member of the Bryant Family Gospel Group. She loved singing at various churches on Saturday night to share God’s love and was always home at Walnut Grove on Sunday morning. She loved gathering all her siblings around the porch in the summer time and around the fireplace during the winter time to sing. I guess you could say she taught us how to sing.

The pass few years her health was failing, and she couldn’t travel much with the Bryant Family. She would try to stand with the choir and family group to sing, a lot of times having to sit and listen to us sing, knowing in her hear her desire was to be singing alongside her family.

Elta Jean loved the Lord and loved her family. She will be missed by all who knew her.
