Obituary of James Foster Marcum

James Foster Marcum, 69, of Rush, KY passed away Monday, July 8, 2019 at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland. Mr. Marcum was born November 4, 1949 in Louisa, Kentucky to the late James and Imogene Courtney Marcum. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Josie Lynn Marcum and a sister, Hilda Brown. 

He is survived by his wife Reana M. Marcum; one son, Robert (Cristy) Marcum; one daughter, Amber (Jeremy) Damron; four sisters, Stella (Ralph) Smith, Patty (Carl) Wilson, Sheila Hayes, and Rebecca (Granville) Lemaster; one brother in law, Donald Brown; one step-son - William McLaughlin, three granddaughters, Sadie Damron, Savannah Damron, and Crista Marcum; and on grandson James Garrett Marcum                                    

Mr. Marcum was a member of the Trace Wesleyan Church, member of the Millwrights Union for thirty years, and his hobbies included camping, fishing, and hiking. 

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Friday, July 12, 2019 at Wilson Funeral Home in Louisa, KY with Rev. Walter Wilcox officiating. Burial will follow in the Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens in Ashland, KY. Friends may visit the family on Friday, July 12 after 1:00 PM at Wilson Funeral Home. All care has been entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home.
