Archer Ford Childers, 79, of Louisa, KY passed away Thursday, September 26, 2019 at Cabell Huntington Hospital.  Mr. Childers was born January 25, 1940 in Paintsville, Kentucky to the late Richard and Virginia Ford Childers.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Clark Childers, one son, Charles Archer (Bobbie) Childers; one daughter, Abigail (Timmy) Ratliff; one sister, Sharon Thomas; three grandchildren; and four step-grandchildren.                                                      

He was a retired maintenance worker for Special Metals and member of Cherryville Missionary Baptist Church, where he served as deacon and Sunday school superintendent for forty years. 

Funeral services will be conducted at noon on Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at Wilson Funeral Home with Dr. Charles Price officiating. Burial will follow in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Northeast.
