She was fierce when it came to protecting, gentle with teaching and forever praying for those she loved. She cared for Joe (Leon) like a son, was the mother-in-law I didn't have because Carmie died so very young and a grandmother to Melissa and Catherine. She will live forever on her front porch swing laughing with us in our memories.
