Alvin was my brother-in-law but he was so much more than that to me. He was a father figure, safe place and a friend. He was a wonderful cook his biscuits and peach cobbler were the best I've even had. Thoughts and prayers got out to his children Cindy, Michael and Mitchell. He will be missed. Love Aunt Kelly

I lived beside Alvin growing up in Louisa. I remember when I was a little girl, I would always want to eat dinner at his house. It didn’t matter if my mom had made the same food, I always wanted what Alvin made. His cornbread was the best I have ever eaten and he’d always put Miracle Whip on mine. He was also my papaws best friend. They were inseparable when my papaw would come over. He has always been like a father to me. I’ll forever cherish the memories I have with Alvin and I will never forget him. I will love and miss you always, until we meet again in Heaven!
