Obituary of Alvin Johnson

George Alvin Johnson, 81, of Louisa, passed away on Sunday February 26, 2023 at his home. Mr. Johnson was a retired, disabled miner.

Alvin was born on Friday May 30, 1941 in Inez Kentucky, to the late Edgar and Virginia Spence Johnson.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his son Steve Johnson and two infant children, Alvin Gregory Johnson and Laura Johnson.

Survivors include his daughter Cindy (Mark) Newman; Two sons, Michael (Caitlyn) Johnson and Mitchell (Abagail) Johnson; Grandchildren: Brantley Johnson, Madeline Newman and Allison Newman; One Great-Grandson, Jackson Ward; Betty Johnson;
Two brothers, two sisters and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 2nd at 11:00 am at the Wilson Funeral Home in Louisa with Pastor Michael Marcum officiating. Burial will follow in the Johnson Cemetery in Louisa.

Friends may call on Wednesday, March 1st from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
