Q: What was one of your favorite qualities of Darlas?
A: Darlas was the oldest and I was the youngest of 6 children. She took care of us as we grew up; she told me stories about when I was born and about when I was a baby. She would sometimes take a switch to me and my brother Lee when we misbehaved and she was taking care of us. She was the first of us to get married and have children and the first one to make me an aunt. After she married I would frequently get mad at my parents and go and spend a few days with Darlas and I always was welcome. She had a heart of gold and would do anything for her family. She is the 3rd of my siblings to pass away and will be profoundly missed by the rest of us. Rest in peace my sweet sister and I pray we will be reunited in heaven.
