We all loved Maxie and he will be sorely missed. He was and is a great friend and mentor to me. He taught me a lot about patience in my recovery journey. His last words to me were “good luck” as he encouraged me to complete Peer Support Specialist training for ARC. I am over halfway through school now and will be graduating in a couple of months. I will put forth maximum effort to live up to the precedent set by this man and others like him. He will be forever in our hearts. I love you brother and I will see you on the other side.

A true friend and brother I met Maxie at a residential treatment center back in December of 2020 he was always the one who was always there to get advice from I managed to stay with treatment and came back as a intern to work around Justin after that I had a bit of a relapse so I called Maxie in January of this year and he talked some sense into me to come back to treatment just know that this has hurt a lot of people including me until we meet again I love you my friend and brother

So many times I'd get random pics like this with an encouraging message or just reminding me you love me. At that time they were coming more then 30 times a day. What I'd give for just one a day from you. But thankfully I've got hundreds of memories and thousands of messages to last me. Your smile could light up the darkest parts of not only me but anyone who has ever met you. And even though my days will be a little less brighter with out you here, they'll still never be as dark as the days before I had you in my life.
