Harry Richard Cyrus 71 of Lexington, KY formerly of Louisa passed away Thursday April 24, 2014 at the Saint Joseph Hospice Care Center surrounded by his family. Harry was born Nov. 10, 1942 in Louisa, KY, the son of the late James Kenneth Cyrus and Frances Burke Cyrus Taff. He was a retired Local 769 Iron Worker and insurance agent with Western Southern Life Insurance Co. He was named on the 1959 District All-Tourney Bulldog Basketball Team, was an avid Amateur Radio operator with call sign "WD4CCI", loved the University of Kentucky Wildcats and served on the Committee of the 101. Survivors include his loving family, wife Debbie Oney Cyrus, daughter Mary Frances Cyrus of Catlettsburg, KY; son and daughter-in-law Harry Richard Cyrus Jr. and Rhonda of Ashland, KY; step daughter and husband Robyn and Christopher Hould of Lexington, KY; step son and wife Shannon and Tami Sanders of Wilmore, KY; step sister Kathy Taff Torres of Fort Worth, TX. He was papaw to ten grandchildren Haley Cyrus, Donovan Cyrus, Jami Simms, Jessi Laney, Kyle Hould, Lyla Hould, Justin Sanders, Kelsey Sanders, Joel Baldwin, and Kristen Baldwin; and two great grandchildren Zoe Wilson and Blakely Baldwin Funeral services will be conducted on Monday April 28th at 11:00 am at the Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Rob Hale and Rev. Pete Miller officiating. Entombment will follow in the Rose Hill Burial Park Ashland, KY. Friends may call from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm Sunday April 27th at the Wilson Funeral Home.
