Obituary of Billie Joe Cyrus

Billie Joe Cyrus 87 of Louisa, KY went home to be with the Lord on Sunday September 30, 2018 following a long illness.

Billie Joe was born Dec. 19, 1930 in Louisa, the son of the late Jeff and Pearl Boggs Cyrus. He is also preceded in death by his wife Emmogene Thompson Cyrus, a sister Lorraine Davis and two brothers Robert Glenn Cyrus and Jack Randall Cyrus. He was a retired International Nickel employee and a member of the Smokey Valley Enterprise Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter Karen Cyrus Barnette of Lexington, KY; a son Tom Cyrus of Carmel, Indiana; a brother Scott Cyrus of Louisa; and a sister Nola Wellman also of Louisa; a grandson Kyle Barnette, a granddaughter Amy Burnett, three great grandchildren Miles, Anna, and Parker Burnett; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday Oct. 2nd at 11:00 am at the Wilson Funeral Home with Pastor Chris Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in the Cyrus Cemetery on Greenbriar Road Louisa. Friends may visit the family on Monday Oct. 1st from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Wilson Funeral Home.
