I was so heartbroken to hear of John H’s passing. John was a great man- he was always so kind and wonderful to us. I remember visiting with him and Faye in their Detroit house-there were always special treats and rides on the 4 wheeler in the Kentucky house. I loved hearing him talk- his was a southern gentleman’s timber with practical advice. Surely goodness and mercy followed him into the arms of his Savior. He is missed here but resting in the presence of Jesus. Love you all and praying for you.

I have many precious memories of John and the entire Preece family. I will be praying for all of you. We had many great services at Shiloh Free Will Baptist Church in Detroit. John's journey is now over and he is at peace and will live eternally in heaven with the Lord and all his dear family and friends. May God bless. Love and prayers.

John was like a brother to me. I worked with him for many years. I ate many meals in his home with Faye and him. I always looked forward to seeing him at the family reunions. When I was in the hospital with heart surgery, John was the first to call because he was worried about me. The good thing is that now he’s with the love of his life. I’ll miss you pal.

John was a great friend of mine for many years, he started with the Louisa Police Dept. i 1961 just out of the ARMY, was not long he was made Chief of Police. I was police dispatcher in 1962, Mack Preece was Police Judge.
I know that he is in Heaven now and without any pain or worry and with all of his love ones. He would always bring us deer meat every year and we like it.
God Bless you John H. Preece and I pray one day that I will see you on the Streets of Gold.

The greatest example of Love, compassion, strength, and kindness. Our Father was a beacon on dark nights. The pillar of strength when Life was just too much to handle. A guide who led us through times of sorrow always leaning on the everlasting love and promises of our lord. He was mean when he had to be, And kind when he didn’t have to be.
You will be forever missed here on earth. The homecoming had to be wonderful. If God sees fit I’m sure your eating cat head biscuits, while sitting with Lil John looking out of the deer blind window at all those trophy bucks. Don’t stay out to long boys, Moms making lunch.
Come on home!
